第一章自然环境与健康
第三节环境介质与健康
环境介质是指空气、土壤、水、化学品、机械力、射线和微生物等。这里主要阐述大气、水、土壤及地区化学因素与健康的关系。
一、大气与健康
大气提供植物进行光合作用所需的二氧化碳和人呼吸所需的氧气，并保护它们免遭来自外层空间的有害影响。因此，空气的清洁程度及其理化性状与人类健康的关系十分密切。
（一）大气污染对健康的危謇
1．急性危害大气污染物的浓度在短期内急剧升高，可使当地人群因吸入大量的污染物而引起急性中毒。按其形成的原因可以分为烟雾事件和生产事故。
（1）烟雾事件：根据烟雾形成的原因，烟雾事件分为煤烟型烟雾事件和光化学型烟雾事件。①煤烟型烟雾（coal smog）事件，主要由燃煤产生的烟尘、S02等大量污染物排入大气，伴随不良气象条件而不能充分扩散所致。②光化学型烟雾（photochemical smog）事件，是由汽车尾气中的氮氧化物（NOx）和挥发性有机物在强烈日光紫外线的照射下，经过一系列光化学反应生成的刺激性很强的浅蓝色烟雾所致，其主要成分是臭氧、醛类以及及各过氧酰基硝酸酯，通称为光化学烟雾。
（2）事故性排放引发的急性中毒事件：代表性事件有印度博帕尔毒气泄漏事侔和前苏联切尔诺贝利核电站爆炸事件。在我国，2003年发生矛重庆市开县的“12，奉23”特大天然气井喷事件，造成了附近居民中毒、死亡以及巨大的财产损失。
2．慢性影响直接危害是导致慢性阻塞性肺疾患等呼吸系统疾病，悔低机体免疫力，引起变态反应、慢性中毒、心血管疾病和肺癌等多种疾病。除直接危害之外，大气污染还通过温室效应、臭氧层破坏、酸雨和对微小气候及太阳辐射的影响等方式对犍康产生间接危害。
（二）室内空气污染对健康的影响
1．室内空气污染的来源可分为室外来源和室。内来源，具体包括：室外空气、建筑物自身、人为带入室内、相邻住宅污染、室内生活炉灶燃烧或加热、室内人和动物的活动、室内建筑装饰材料和家用化学品、室内生物性污染和家用电器等。
