《实用女性生殖内分泌学》从基本的内分泌理论、生殖内分泌病史及检查、各种疾病的诊治到生殖内分泌的辩证思维方法，对女性生殖内分泌相关的内容进行了全面的介绍，既全面又简明，而且融入了新观念、新技术，是具有协和特色的经验与总结。此外，对相关的乳腺疾病、性功能与性功能障碍也有专门章节阐述。所以，这本手册无论对青年医师抑或有一定经验的医师都有重要的理论与实践价值。
Author Description

葛秦生，女，生于1917年，江苏嘉定人。1936年起就读于上海医科大学（原国立上海第一医学院）与北京协和医学院。1942年毕业后从事妇产科医疗、教学与研究工作至今。历任北京协和医院妇产科助教、讲师、副教授、教授。1958年参加北京中医研究院第二届西学中脱产学习班一年半，次后参加中西结合工作。从事妇产科专业50余年。早期10年打下了妇产科学的全面基础。1956年起专攻妇科生殖内分泌学，从临床实践开始，建立最基本的诊疗方法如基础体温与阴道涂片。1965年参加4种口服避孕药的临床试用研究。首先提出了减量的设想，经过同道们的努力，1967年上市1/4小剂量口服避孕药，早于国外约10年。此后又扩大应用于其他情况，如绝经后骨质疏松的治疗，为国际重复试验所验证。70年代当时国内亦无诱导排卵药物，她采用了中药活血补肾诱导排卵，首次报道采用中药诱导排卵成功，在国内推广。此后20余年中，她系统地对妇女的一生，自婴幼儿至老年的重要内分泌疾病进行总结。1985年参加世界卫生组织不育指导委员会，开展了不育的流行病调查与诊疗，使诊疗步骤标准化，且易于普及。近年来开展了对更年期与老年妇女症有关方面与疾病的研究，如骨质疏松，开展了骨密度的测量，了解我国妇女骨密度变化规律从而批导绝经松后骨质疏松症状与疾病的研究，如骨质疏松，开展了骨密度的测量，了解我国妇女骨密度变化规律，从而指导绝经后骨质疏松症的预防与治疗。近年来又开展了对心血管痴呆的诊断、预防与治疗。共发表论文100余篇。
