我为什么会气虚
气虚和阳虚同属一个范畴，因为阳虚本身就包括气虚，只是气的温煦作用降低了，从而表现出一派寒象，形成了气虚。
气虚常是先天不足
中医认为，人体的“气”是指与人的健康息息相关，为人体所不能离开的一种基本物质。那么究竟气是从哪里来的呢？一般而言，气有三种来源：一种是来自父母的先天精气，也就是我们常说的“元气”，它藏于肾中；一种是自然界中经肺吸入的清新空气，也就是“宗气”，它积聚于胸中；还有一种是通过饮食取得的，由食物生化而成的精气，行于脉中的叫做“营气”，行于脉外的叫做“卫气”。人体的这几种气中比较基本的就是大家熟知的“元气”，即父母的先天之气。就比如说，孕妇在怀孕的时候，如果营养不良或者早产，那么生出来的孩子是气虚的可能性会很大，这与孩子的肺脏发育不完全有关。
脾肺不足容易气虚
肺主气，司呼吸。脾居中焦，主运化、司升清、统血行。脾肺不足容易导致脾肺两虚，体现为气虚的特征。
肺气虚，则其主宣降、司呼吸、调节水液代谢、抵御外邪的作用就会减弱，出现短气自汗、声音低怯、咳嗽气喘等。
生气可导致气滞气虚
长期压力大，也等于是持续向气球里打气，而且持续的时间越长，气机越难疏泄，造成气滞气郁，气机不能在体内正常的运转，会造成这样一种情况：一方面气机瘀滞，另一方面则出现气虚。
现代医学认为，经常生气、压力大伤肝，会导致使人快乐的血清素分泌减少，使人紧张的肾上腺素、血管紧张素则会分泌增多，进而导致血压、血糖升高，心率、呼吸加快，人就容易焦虑、忧郁、沮丧，于是抵抗力开始减弱，生病的概率增大，极易发生高血压、心脑血管疾病、溃疡病等。特别是生气时，瞬间上升的血压，会导致身体不好的人或老年人突然发生脑
出血、心肌梗死。长期处于压力之下，还会损伤脑神经，出现记忆力减退、精力难以集中、难以控制自己的情绪等状况。
经常发怒，会极大地耗伤阴血，进而损伤阳气。人们都有体会，极为愤怒时，会汗毛竖起、手足冰凉、肌肉收缩、全身发抖、说不出话来。长期的精神郁闷或暴怒，会过多地消耗人体宝贵的精气神，进而引发多种疾病，甚至缩短寿命，加速死亡。
