观足色
健康的足色为皮肤润泽，白里透红。脚掌皮肤发青，可能是静脉曲张或脑卒中先兆。
脚掌皮肤发赤，提示为多血质体质，易患实热证、炎症等。
脚掌皮肤发黑，提示瘀血及肿瘤。
脚掌皮肤发黄，则提示肝炎、脾病等。
观足型
健康的足掌背曲线柔和丰满，脚趾整齐、柔软、有弹性，趾头圆润，且有光泽；足弓正常，弧度匀美。
实型足：五趾向中间靠拢，趾外倾弧度适当且紧并第二趾；趾甲、足弓、掌垫等均正常，此足型的人各脏器功能正常，抗病能力强，不易为外邪侵袭而感染疾病。
散型足：五趾向外散开不能合并，足部整体显得瘦小。趾甲泛白，透明度降低，足弹性不强，掌弓下陷，掌垫扩大。此足型的人体质虚弱，易发生呼吸、循环、消化系统疾病，特别容易感冒。
鼓型足：大脚趾短窄，二脚趾突出，各脚趾明显向心歪斜，足中部鼓宽，足呈钝梭型。此足型的人体质较差，常见于泌尿系统病变和神经系统病变。
枯型足：足部皮肤干燥，无肌肉感，骨

健康的足姿是这样的：两脚大小差别不大，走路时两脚持重一致，跨度相等。起足时先提足跟，落地时足跟先着地，两脚平正；俯卧时，两脚尖向内侧倾；仰卧时，两脚尖向外，呈60°分开。
双足长度不一，差距较大者易感冒，或患有胃病，女性易发生痛经。
