作者簡介

作者介紹洪蘭

加州大學河濱校區實驗心理學博士，曾在加州大學爾灣醫學院神經科作博士後研究，於聖地牙哥沙克生物研究所任研究員，並於加州大學擔任研究教授。1992年回台，先後在中正大學、陽明大學任教，目前為中央大學認知神經科學研究所教授。

近年來有感於教育是國家的根本，而閱讀是教育的根本，前後到台灣大大小小超過一千所的中小學作推廣閱讀的演講，深受各界推崇，於2005年獲頒東元科技文教基金會特別貢獻獎，2011年獲頒遠見雜誌華人領袖終身成就獎。

除積極投身科學生根及閱讀推廣工作，也致力於譯介心理學、生命科學等領域書籍，已翻譯超過五十本書，曾獲第5屆吳大猷科學普及著作獎翻譯金籤獎；並於各大報章雜誌發表文章，相關寫作專欄集結二十五本書，2006年獲選為金石堂書店年度出版風雲人物。
