十九世紀卡爾．馬克思是一個敢於知識創新的「通儒」，正如朱老師第三封信〈以通儒為典範〉說的，他跨諸多領域，綜合經濟學、社會學、哲學與歷史觀點，去望、聞、問、切，替十九世紀社會弊病把脈一番，然後開出政治學的解答，以《資本論》、《共產主義宣言》為強力藥方。今年是二○一八，恭逢卡爾．馬克思一代宗師共產聖人二百年誕辰，有為者亦若是！

當代年輕知識分子是否有雄心大志踵武前賢，濂、洛、關、閩、馬克思、凱因斯之後，又「知識創新」一番嗎？互勉之，有為者亦若是！

「懂」學問的價值

身處這時代，想不焦慮還真的很難。打開手機（不是打開報紙），映入眼簾的盡是一堆永遠沒時間搞懂的新名詞。當中有的超夯，有的卻是還來不及了解就要退流行。網路每隔一陣子就看到 Boston Dynamics 公司的影片，他們做的那些面目可憎的無頭機器戰犬跑上跑下、長腿人形機器人搬重物後空翻。每每看了讓人心生寒意。

網路上整天看到人家說什麼虛擬貨幣、區塊鏈，欸唉（Artificial Intelligence［人工智慧］），說什麼以後很多人會被機器人、欸唉取代而失業。看到牛津大學的研究報告，說二十年內四成七的現有工作都會消失。又看到什麼全球二十五個國家都把程式設計列為中小學生的必修課，十年後全世界會有一大票人都會寫勞啥子程式，而自己卻對這一竅不通。

看到這個變化這麼快的世界，想到自己的未來、孩子的未來，你的焦慮又更深了。你心裡阿Q地安慰自己：「沒關係，只要像以前一樣拼命讀書，高分考進名高中、名大學，人生就會成功！」真以為這種阿北阿嬸年代的成功模式，在未來二十年的世界，還能一樣有效嗎？這種想法真是太傻、太天真了。在這資訊高度爆炸、技術快速演進、商業模式不斷翻新的現在，與欸唉當道的未來，要如何才能擺脫焦慮？要如何才能創造屬於自己的獨特價值？

你需要「學問」。

等等，「學問」這種東西，不是什麼教授、專家才需要的嗎？「學問」於我何有哉？外面世界變化這麼快，哪有時間「做學問」慢慢耗？別急，我們先探究一下何謂「學問」？每個人或有不同的定義，但我認為「學問」最重要的，就在於學「問」，也就是「學會如何找到好問題」。我個人認為這是未來欸唉時代，人類最重要的能力！

為什麼？

去年某次公開演講，我曾被問到未來如果人工智慧當道，教育該如何改變、因應？我說：「人工智慧厲害的，是它比人類更快解決問題。然而人工智慧不會定義對人有意義的好問題。」我們的教育，必須培養年輕人「學會如何找到好問題」的能力，在未來他們才不會被人工智慧取代。

有道是：「人之異於欸唉者，惟學問耳。」「學問」不再是教授、專家獨有；各行各業的人們都需要「學會如何照到好問題」的能力，才能創造出自己的獨特價值、才能出類拔萃。

若「學問」如此重要，那該如何構建？去唸大學──知識的最高殿堂，是否就能學會「做學問」？

很悲哀的，在大學教書十七載，我看過太多太多的大學生，都是為了「念大學」而念大學。真正因為「想學」而念大學者，幾稀！為「念大學」而念大學的這些人，大學四年往往只學會了「應付」；應付考試、應付作業、應付學分規定，總之只要能夠畢業拿到那張紙，就算是對爸媽有交代了。至於如何建構自己的知識體系、如何「做學問」，這些少有人在意。而老師之間，有能力教學生如何「做學問」的，更是少！

怎麼辦？

你需要這本《給青年知識追求者的十封信》。此書彌足珍貴，朱院士把龐雜的知識體系，在書中做了非常清楚的分類與介紹。當年利瑪竇製《坤輿萬國全圖》，中土之人始知世界。而今朱院士撰此書，讓青年學子得窺學海全貌，進而有勇氣悠遊學海。這並非易事。須知步調繁忙的現代，眾人對時間都很功利。「做學問」此等需長久累積之事，若無人傳授法門，一般人多不會貿然投入。朱院士不但分享自己「做學問」的法門，且以親身經歷作見證。

看完他書中的故事，會讓你躍躍欲試，也想開始探索自己有興趣的知識，養成自己的「學問」！
此外本書最讓我驚豔的，是書中所提「做學問」法門，與「創新」之道完全相通！

全世界都鼓勵年輕人創新，但大家往往忽略成功的創新有其重要前提：「你有沒有解決一個好問題？」一個沒能解決任何問題的創新，是沒價值的創新。一個成功的創新者，必須能比別人更早找到好問題，才能跑在別人前面做出有價值的創新。在書中〈不住相讀書〉一章，提到讀書應不功利地廣泛涉獵；長年下來累積點點滴滴記憶，接著再透過「串珠珠」過程串出別人沒想過的獨到問題。讀到這我忍不住拍案！這跟我們在做的創新創業過程，不是一模一樣嗎？

在資訊快速全球化流動的時代，線性思維所能想到的創新，老早就被某國某地的路人甲乙丙丁想過了。如何想出沒人想過的創新點子？上面提到的「串珠珠做學問」過程，我認為正是解方！當你能夠把不同的知識串起、連結，想出沒人想到的獨特好問題，自然就有機會做出解決那問題的創新。因為這獨特問題從沒被人想到過，所以你為了解決這問題而生出的創新，自然也是全世界獨一無二的！只要參透這道理，我們就會發現「做學問」與「創新」，原來是一體兩面！若能讀通此書，對於創新也是極有幫助的。我認為這是本書的另一重要價值。

除了上述種種，此書最讓我佩服的，是朱院士怎能把教人「做學問」之事寫得如此有趣！這當是與他的調皮個性有關。當看到他書中所寫的這段：「看看自己適不適合走進知識探索的叢林。用白話文說，就是照照鏡子，問自己：『我屬兔嗎？我白嗎？我是白兔嗎？』」我當下笑得前俯後仰，捧腹不已。我知道著書之人最痛恨路人破梗，為什麼這句話這麼好笑，我不能說，你看了就知道！

綜而論之，在快速變化、充滿變局的未來，每個人都要能建構屬於自己的「學問」，才能不焦不慮、自信地面對這世界。有了此書「學問」將不再是教授、專家等少數人所有。只要有心，人人都能「做學問」。

懂「學問」，我們才能活出身為人的真正價值，也才不用怕被那勞啥子欸唉取代！
