1．对象
我们可以把对象看做现实世界中存在的各种各样的实体，它可以是有形的（比如，一辆汽车、一只足球、一台电脑、一只鼠标，甚至一个人），也可以是无形的（比如，一份报表、一张账单、一项计划）。每一个对象具有自己的一些特征（包括自己特有的及和同类对象的共同特征）和一组行为。例如，某个“人”作为对象，具有身高、体重、性别等特征，又具有行走、说话、喜怒哀乐等行为。对象之间的活动通过消息来驱动。
面向对象的程序设计中，对象是组成程序的基本部件。把对象的特征称为属性，对象的行为称为方法，传递给对象的消息称为事件，称之为对象的三要素。
2．类
面向对象程序设计的另外一个重要概念就是“类”，类是由对象的共同特征抽取出来而形成的，是同种对象的集合与抽象，它包含所创建对象的属性描述和行为特征的定义。对象是由类创建的，类是对象的定义，而对象是类的一个实例。例如，在公司、学校、网吧和家庭都有计算机，这些电脑都具有计算机的共同特征，而它们又都具有各自不同的性能与配置，用于不同的目的。那么，某一台具体的电脑就是计算机的一个实例。计算机称为类，某一台具体的电脑是对象。
