Content Description

《体育时期》于二零零三年在香港首次出版，为了表现香港地道生活经验，原版中用了大量广东话。二零零四年印行的台湾版，是个经过修改的新版本。为了减低阅读障碍，我把部分章节的广东话改成普通话。但是为了保存小说的地方感，实在不能完全普通话化。所以，这可以说是一个折衷版。按不同的实际情况，不同章节中“翻译”的程度也有所差别。有的索性全改，有的只是改成比较易懂，有的则完全保留广东话。当中以第二种情况居多，所以读者会发现，书中许多地方，特别是人物的对话和内心独白，语感可能有点奇怪。在这些地方，我保留了某些香港口语用词，而句式和语气也是广东话式的。至于完全用广东话的片段，则是由于非如此不可了。读者看下去就会明白。现在由作家出版社印行的简体字版，根据的就是零四年的台湾繁体字版。我希望这个版本总的来说还是畅顺可读的，也希望内地读者能体会到当中的生活感。也特别感谢作家出版社编辑李宏伟先生，对这样的一部充满“异质”的小说表示兴趣和支持。

董启章，一九六七年生于香港。一九八九年于香港大学英文及比较文学系毕业，一九九四年获香港大学比较文学系哲学硕士，一直从事写作及兼职教学。已出版作品有小说《纪念册》、《小冬校园》、《家课册》、《安卓珍尼——一个不存在的物种的进化史》、《地图集——一个想象的城市的考古学》、《双身》、《名字的玫瑰》、《V城繁胜录》、《The Catal09》、《贝贝的文字冒险》、《衣鱼简史》、《练习簿》、《第一千零二夜》、《体育时期》、《对角艺术》、《天工开物·栩栩如真》、《时间繁史·哑瓷之光》，游记《东京·丰饶之海·奥多摩》，评论集《同代人》，编著及合著文学阅读集有《说书人——阅读与评论合集》、《讲话文章——访问、阅读十位香港作家》、《讲话文章II——香港青年作家访谈与评介》。
一九九四年获台湾联合文学小说新人奖，一九九五年获台湾《联合报》文学奖长篇小说特别奖，一九九七年获香港艺术发展局文学奖新秀奖，二零零六年凭《天工开物·栩栩如真》获第一届红楼梦长篇小说奖决审团奖，二零零八年凭《时间繁史·哑瓷之光》获第二届红楼梦长篇小说奖决审团奖，二零零九年获香港艺术发展局年度艺术家奖（文学艺术）。

想来必定是那个女孩给推倒在地上时露出那迷你洁白网球裙下面的深蓝P.E.裤的景象和她那双修长光脱的腿在空中发狂乱蹬的姿态，令贝贝产生了微妙的、来自久远之前的、深埋在身体的记忆里的共同羞辱感。那看似是一个强暴的场面，虽然首先发难的其实是那个女孩，而且被袭击的一方并没有怎样动粗，只是同行的人一拥而上把女孩扯开，并在混乱的制服行动中无可避免地把女孩推按在地上而已。一行人中似乎只有贝贝一个站着不动，瞪着眼看着女孩痛苦地挣扎着，口里吼着贝贝听不太惯的粗话，后来女孩实在是无力推开压着她的人堆了，声音就开始尖锐成近乎无实质的嘶泣，好像在电结他的高音弦上勾出来的颤音一样，穿着簇新白网球鞋和小白袜的双脚却依然心生不忿地在木板地上击出一下一下的重捶鼓。贝贝也不知道自己有没有尖叫，不过就算表面上没有，她也觉得好像事实上已经叫出来了，合着那女孩的喉音给叫出来了。就像久远之前的那一次，在学校的更衣室内，她没有出声，却让另一个女孩把她心里的尖叫给叫出来。
