Book Abstract

Q：您之前也拍过许多与动物相关的电影，那些经验对拍《狼图腾》都有什么帮助？

A：我的感觉是对于一些电影而言，导演、技术人员、制片人，他们最好有制作类似影片的经验。《狼图腾》要在零下30—40度的冬天拍摄外景的，这就需要有相关这方面的专家和有专业设备。当我来到中国的时候，这些设备都没有，后面不得不进口设备、教会工作人员如何保护摄影机、电池，现在我有了一个经验丰富的团队。

当我还是一个非常年轻的广告导演的时候，就开始积累拍摄动物的知识。我拍摄了500多部广告，有70多次是拍摄动物的，包括狗、鸡、老鼠、鹰、犀牛。我了解，如果我没有这些经验，我不会胜任拍摄电影《TheQuestfnrFre》（火之战），因为里面有人和动物的戏。当时我还只有30岁，已经有将近10年的广告导演经验。我非常了解拍摄困难，但我有经验，我会觉得我有成功的希望。

Q：这次拍摄是你第一次到蒙古草原吗？对这里有什么感想？

A：我喜欢广阔的风景，我热爱自然，这也是我喜欢这本书的原因。它是对自然的歌颂，包括自然美和环境美，这些都是接近我内心的一些主题。我热爱中国这片美丽的土地上的每一样东西，我喜欢站在这里的山顶，看那无边无际的草原美景。你可以从你站的地方一直看到地平线，这是如此的美妙。

我必须得说我更喜欢乡村里的人，我和他们亲密无问。这里的蒙古人和他们的牲畜一起生活，保持着自然的天性，他们热爱大自然，虽然他们的生活气候和环境是如此的艰苦。

Q：草原的善变天气对拍摄也造成了困难，当初设想到了么？

A：我对善变的天气很熟悉，我已经习惯了困难的拍摄条件。但这部电影不同的地方在于每一个镜头都是外景，所以只要碰到恶劣的天气，就要改变拍摄计划，改成拍室内戏份。在这里唯一的室内戏就是在蒙古包里，蒙古包非常小，我们把它建在摄影棚里，所以我们基本上没有什么办法逃避恶劣的天气。

我们非常幸运，几乎在所有需要拍摄的日子里，都拍到了我们需要的天气。小说的故事包括了春夏秋冬四个季节，所以我们需要拍摄四个季节。世界上所有的狼基本上都在3月出生，它们在8、9月份会长成，或者看起来是长成的样子。我们从3月拍到9月，还要拍冬天的场景，就算你有大型雪机，也没办法让整个草原被雪覆盖。这里的天气是很美的，我们有各种不同的颜色，有冬天的枯黄，有早春的嫩绿，有夏日华丽的深绿。腾格里对我们非常的友好，没有给我们太多的雨水，给了我们美丽的天空。我们拍到了很多想要的场景，没有浪费一天的时间，一直到现在，我们都是按照拍摄计划进行的。不幸的是，今年很特殊，因为全球变暖的原因，这里没有下雪，所以我们不得不停机一个月，从千里以外运雪过来拍摄。乌拉盖是一个很美丽的地方，这里有不同的地貌，平原、山区、湖泊、河流，这里的交通还很方便，是完美的组合。我们已经非常幸运，50年来乌拉盖第一次在这个时候还不下雪。一般冬天到乌拉盖来都是很困难的，我们当初还犹豫要不要到这里来，因为会担心被雪困住，但是现在，完全没有雪。
