Author Description

戴煌，原名戴澎霖，新华社高级记者。1928年2月生于江苏阜宁沟墩镇。少小时担任学校抗日儿童团团长。1944年4月参加了新四军，同年夏加入中国共产党，主要从事文艺宣传，兼做新闻工作。1947年初夏，调入新华社苏北前线支社，成为一名前线记者；后来又参加了朝鲜战争和越南抗法战争的报道。1957年因提出了“反对神化与特权”等论点被打成“右派”，人生经受了多种磨难。尽管被迫封笔长达二十一载，仍发表了为数可观的新闻、通讯、杂文和报告文学等作品，并在协助他人平反昭雪和揭露贪官污吏方面耗费了大量的心血。先后发表的作品有：《人民卫士》、《宝贝鱼》、《海岸线上》、《胡志明主席印象记》、《戴煌通讯报告选》、《胡耀邦与平反冤假错案》、《九死一生——我的“右派”历程》、《直面人生》、《新格斗》、《讲真话——绝不当混世虫》等。

众所周知，为这场搏战、这场革命打先锋的是胡耀邦。当时，他先后在宣传和组织领导岗位上，以“我不下油锅谁下油锅”的大无畏精神，办好了这两件大事。
胡耀邦主持大规模平反冤假错案，是中华人民共和国历史进入新时期的前奏。当时，不跨过这道门槛，改革开放无从谈起。

Book Abstract

1978年1月18日，吴江将起草好的文件初稿，送请已去中组部但仍兼任党校副校长的胡耀邦审定。耀邦提出：应当以马列主义、毛泽东思想的完整体系和精神实质为指导；只有千百万人民的革命实践，才是检验真理的尺度；路线的正确与否，不单纯是个理论问题，而是实践问题，要由实践的结果来证明。
在耀邦提出这种真理标准，并指导《理论动态》初步发表一些有关文章的过程中，南京大学哲学系教师胡福明等人，从“十年内乱”给全国教育战线的严重摧残和天安门“四五运动”之被残酷镇压等事实出发，也认为必须在理论上和认识路线上，找出一个明确区分路线正误是非的标准。同时，胡福明应《光明日报》所约，于1977年秋天写成了《实践是检验真理的标准》一文。
1978年3月，中央党校开始组织全校八百多名学员，讨论研究党史的那个指导文件。在讨论中，发生了一些争论。少数学员仍主张以党的“九大”、“十大”、“十一大”的文件为依据来评价文化大革命，明显地倾向于“两个凡是”。
据此，吴江布置理论研究室的同仁孙长江，为《理论动态》写一篇针对性的文章。孙长江以耀邦的多次讲话为依据，写成了这篇文章，题目叫《实践是检验真理的唯一标准》，与南京的胡福明可谓不谋而合。
正当吴江等人研究孙长江的这篇文稿时，中央党校高级班学员杨西光——原中共上海市委书记兼复旦大学党委书记，被中央任命为《光明日报》总编辑。杨西光在党校学习半年，曾两次与胡耀邦深入交谈，支持用实践标准来总结党的路线斗争的是与非。他到《光明日报》履任后，才知道《光明日报》已约来南京胡福明的《实践是检验真理的标准》一文，并经报社编辑部做了五次修改，他感到文章的分量还不够，没有着力突出这是一个政治问题而不仅仅是个哲学命题。
