张香桐1992年获国际神经网络学会授予的“生命科学奖”和何梁何利基金评选委员会授予的2000年度“科学与进步成就奖。”
本书以严谨忠实的态度和丰富翔实的描述，真实地展示了张香桐院士毕生追求科学的艰难历程，令人叹服的学术贡献和高尚的人格精神。

Author Description

张维，男，与共和国同龄，老三届，七七级，云南大学中文系教授，研究生导师，中国作家协会会员。
执教20余年来，教书是本职，育人是使命，读书是爱好，笔耕是兴趣。在从事中国现代文学研究与地方文化史研究之余，多年来致力于名人传记的写作，已出版传记作品200万字，主工著作有《熊庆来传》、《李广田传》、《楚图南传》等。
另有《中国现代文学史新编》、《科技群英谱》等参著作品12部、学术论文、纪实文学作品各近40篇及电视专题片、连续广播剧等问世，共约70万字，曾多次获全国及省级奖励。
“路漫漫其修远兮”，我愿继续脚踏实地走下去，努力多培养一些优秀人才，多出一些好作品。
