《东亚贸易一体化：从区域化到区域主义》作者的主要观点体现在如下几个方面：第一，根据区域内成员结构是“同质”（如欧盟原15国）或是“异质”（如东亚或北美），结合区域一体化的实践，将区域经济一体化区分为两种不同的组织形式。特别地，对“异质”结构成员来说，区域经济一体化首先表现为贸易一体化，其次是共同市场、以货币安排为代表的经济联盟以及共同体安排几个阶段，从而首次将区域一体化的组织形式按成员结构进行了划分。

徐春祥，男，1967年8月生，山东潍坊人。沈阳理工大学经济管理学院国际贸易教研室主任，副教授，硕士研究生导师。先后就读于沈阳理工大学经济管理学院（原沈阳工业学院管理工程系）和辽宁大学，分别获得工学学士（国际经济与贸易专业）、经济学硕士（世界经济专业）和经济学博士（国际贸易学专业）学位。主要研究领域为国际贸易理论与政策以及区域一体化，编著《国际贸易》、《跨国公司经营与管理》等教材5部，在《亚太经济》等刊物上发表学术论文10余篇，参与国家社科基金项目1项，主持省、市、校级科研项目12项。

第一章国内外相关文献综述及评价
近年来，对东亚问题的研究文献浩如烟海。从某种意义上说，归纳和梳理全部文献几乎是一项不可思议的工作。但作为研究的需要，对该领域的主要研究成果和基本观点进行梳理是不可或缺的。
有关东亚问题研究文献的综述方法可以根据时间序列，也可以根据研究领域，还可以根据地域进行。其中时间序列是指根据近几年来对东亚问题的研究，按时间先后或分成若干时间段而依次进行的研究；按研究领域是指，将东亚问题分成（经济、政治、文化、宗教等）不同领域，对某一领域的研究再配合时间序列或其他方法进行的研究；按研究地域是指，将国内外研究文献从以下四个层面进行梳理：一是对东北亚的中国、日本和韩国的相关研究；二是对东南亚国家联盟（ASEAN）的相关研究；三是对三个“10+1”和一个“10+3”的研究；四是把东亚作为一个整体而进行的相关研究，最后一方面的研究成果相对较少，主要是世界银行有关这方面的一些不太系统的讨论[又称“政策议程”（policy agenda）]。
本书将从国外、国内两个角度，综合后两种研究方法对近年来有关东亚问题的主要研究文献进行归纳和梳理。
第一节国外相关文献综述
正如前文所述，东亚是一个能引起众多学者研究兴趣的区域。东亚经济以及贸易的增长、产业结构特征以及自身融经济、政治于一体的特点，都会吸引许多研究人员在该领域投注更多的时间和精力。
英国经济学家彼得·罗布森（Peter Robson，2001）在其著作《国际一体化经济学》中，对一体化的理论基础进行了较为详尽的梳理，为本书的写作提供了理论借鉴。
美国加州大学经济学家罗伯特·芬斯阙（Robert C．Feenstra，1998）教授对贸易一体化和生产非一体化进行了研究，这些研究不仅为中国国内后来的相关研究提供了依据，同时为本书对东亚浅层次贸易一体化的提出和深入研究打下了基础。
Kwanho Shin&Yunjong Wang（2002）基于东亚货币协作（清迈倡议，CMI）的研究，提出东亚货币一体化先于贸易一体化的设想，为本书研究以货币安排为代表的东亚货币联盟提供了一个崭新的视角。

徐春祥博士的专著《东亚贸易一体化——从区域化到区域主义》是在其博士论文基础上修改完善而成的。在专著出版之即，作为其攻读博士期间的导师，我想就其理论意义和学术价值作一概括。
区域经济一体化是经济全球化进程中的一种必然趋势，同时也是国际贸易领域研究和探讨的热点问题。多年来，对区域一体化的理解和研究，主要是基于欧盟的一体化实践和经验，但欧盟的一体化历程有着其独特的历史渊源和现实原因，欧盟一体化进程的巨大成功无疑为世界上其他的区域一体化提供了理论和组织模式的借鉴，但同时也带来了一些困惑，即其他区域的一体化路径是否也应该遵循欧盟的一体化思路？
经济全球化是区域主义的助推器，经济全球化对几乎所有经济体都产生了不可忽视的影响。不同经济体由于经济发展阶段和发展水平、经济体制和政治制度、文化观念、宗教信仰等各方面都存在差异，因此应对全球化从而参与区域一体化的动机和目的也应是各不相同的。换句话说，不同区域一体化的形成特点、形成条件、形成机制、形成目的以及终极目标应该是不同的。
包括中国在内的东亚区域经济合作到底应该走一条什么样的道路？东亚目前特殊的贸易现象又应该如何来解释？本书作者在对现有的一体化案例进行梳理和归纳基础上，提出了另外一条思路，即“异质”结构成员间区域一体化的组织模式，这是对传统区域一体化理论和组织模式的一种补充、拓展和完善。这一创新不仅较好地解释了“异质”结构成员间区域一体化的进程和思路，同时清晰地说明了东亚各经济体之间目前的贸易特征是一种贸易一体化现象，而贸易一体化又是“异质”结构成员间区域一体化的初级阶段。
综观全书，作者的主要观点体现在如下几个方面：

徐春祥博士对区域一体化特别是发达经济体和发展中经济体相混合的“异质”区域的一体化路径的关注和研究有近四年时间，其间作者认真研究了欧盟以及北美自由贸易区的一体化动因和历程，结合东亚区域合作进程，不断调整和完善自己的模型框架，创作思路日渐清晰，其间多次在国内外一些专业性学术会议和博士生论坛上进行演讲和交流，并在此基础上发表了一些颇有影响的文章，得到了同行们的一致肯定，同时一些专家学者还从不同视角提出了一些修改建议，于是才有了今天这个逻辑较为严密，表述较为规范的结构框架。应该说，作者的创新源于自己对学术的不懈追求，取得的研究成果源于作者的勤奋和执著，这种不懈追求和勤奋执著正是当代青年学者勇于开拓、积极进取所必需的。该专著的出版，是他多年来学业与研究成果的一个总结，希望他以此为起点，在该领域进行更加深入的研究，为区域一体化理论发展作出新的贡献。
