Book Abstract

级差地租还有另一种形式，那就是在同一块土地上连续追加投资生产率不同形成的收入差别，生产率高的追加投资形成超额利润，在租约到期前，这种超额利润归农业资本家占有，而租约到期时，就作为级差地租转入地主手中，这是级差地租Ⅱ。
级差地租是一种超额利润，是农产品个别生产价格低于社会生产价格的余额，是农业资本家在经营农业生产所获取的剩余价值中，除去自己平均利润以外的一种超额利润。
农业中的超额利润形成级差地租是长期稳定存在的，这与工业中的超额利润不同。工业中的先进企业，由于利用先进技术设备，将产品的个别生产价格降低到社会生产价格之下，也会获得超额利润。但当其他企业追赶上来，利用相同的技术设备进行生产时，原先进企业的超额利润不再存在。而农业中的情况不同，农业中的土地差别是相对固定的，较优等地总是有限的，又被经营垄断，农产品的生产价格由劣等地决定，所以超额利润会经常存在。由此可见，级差地租存在的原因是对较优土地的经营垄断。农业资本家既获得平均利润又缴纳级差地租，反映了农业资本家和土地所有者瓜分农业工人剩余价值的关系。
（二）绝对地租
在上面论述级差地租时，表明劣等地没有级差地租。似乎土地所有者会将劣等地白白交给农业资本家耕种。事实上，由于土地有限，优等、中等土地的产品不能满足社会需要，劣等地也需要进入耕作范围，也必须缴纳地租，这种不管土地好坏，都必须缴纳的地租，称作绝对地租。劣等地缴纳绝对地租，其他较优土地也需要缴纳绝对地租。绝对地租量在各级土地上是一样的。绝对地租产生的根源是土地的私有权垄断。
会产生一个问题：在资本主义工商企业中，商品按生产价格出卖，资本获取平均利润，而在农业中，除农业资本家获取平均利润外，土地所有者还要获得级差地租和绝对地租。农产品的价格是否高于其生产价格和价值呢？可以回答说，农产品的价格的确高于社会生产价格，但未超过其价值。在工商业部门中，商品的总生产价格和总价值是一致的，而在农业中，商品的价值要高于其生产价格。这是因为：第一，在资本主义发展的长时期中，农业落后于工业，农业资本有机构成低于工业，因而同量资本雇佣的劳动力多，产生的剩余价值多，利润率高。第二，在工业部门中，资本有机构成不同形成利润率的高低不同，会通过部门间的竞争和资本向高利润率部门转移，使利润率平均化。而在农业部门，由于土地有限，又被私有权垄断和经营垄断，其他部门的资本难以展开与农业部门的竞争，阻碍了大量资本转入农业，所以，农业中超过平均利润的部分留在农业，因而农产品价格会超过生产价格，但并未超过价值。农产品是按由劣等地的个别价值所决定的社会价值出售的。
