《生态马克思主义经济学导论》：
中国社会主义发展的起点，是在一个资本主义发展程度很低、属于半殖民地半封建的落后的东方国家。在社会主义建设过程中，需要广泛地借鉴发达资本主义国家发展的经验与模式。在计划经济时期我们开展的社会主义工业化与资本主义工业化有许多相同之处。转型为市场经济之后，虽然资源配置与活跃经济方面的效率提高了，但与资本主义工业化的共同之处就更多了，包括资本积累的冲动、发展方式、动力机制、消费类型、产业结构、城市化、产品更新模式、技术发展状态等，于是资本主义加剧生态危机的状况在社会主义经济条件下也在很大程度上被复制。在我们吸取西方国家产生的生态社会主义的观点、批判资本主义的反生态性的同时，还要反思自己所走的道路。这就迫使中国的马克思主义者在思考生态经济问题时，不得不更加深刻、更加现实。面临与生态危机密切相关的工业化与市场经济，我们不能简单地抛弃，而是要加以有调节地去实施、利用、引导和控制。
生态社会主义对资本主义制度造成生态危机的批判，将启发中国生态马克思主义经济学反思我们在引进发达国家社会化大生产经验、工业化模式与市场经济机制的正确态度，警醒从事社会主义建设的中国不要重蹈西方那种耗竭资源、破坏环境的覆辙，不要盲目地崇拜西方物质文明发展的各种“成果”，而要有分析、有批判地借鉴。
生态社会主义对经济与生态环境双赢的发展途径探索，值得我们借鉴。生态社会主义对现实社会开展“生态重建”的设想，在他们那里是停留在理论上的方案，在中国则是一个可试验、可操作的实践方案。在资本主义制度下，资产阶级这个“资本一利润”利益集团是社会的统治层，损害这个利益集团的生态重建措施会遇到不可逾越的障碍。在中国社会主义市场经济中，也有这样的利益集团，但他们不是社会的统治层，最多是有很强的影响力而已。违背其利益要求的生态重建措施，当然要经过斗争，但不应当有不可逾越的障碍。如果实施不了，那就说明我们还需要进一步进行政治与经济的体制改革。
生态社会主义超越“生态主义”，坚持生态措施与社会主义相结合的理论观点，是现实批判与未来设想的产物。而对于我们实际的社会主义建设者来说，则有深刻的启迪作用。他们的思想郑重地提醒我们，正如我们发展社会主义市场经济一样，必须让“市场经济”不能脱离“社会主义”，否则就会走上邪路；我们建设社会主义生态文明，也不能让“生态文明”脱离“社会主义”，否则就会成为“绿色乌托邦”。
