《重构学习体验：以学员为中心的创新性培训技术》：
2.让学员产生被动消极的情绪，并一直处在这种状态下
要说明这一点，我举几个例子。比如，不允许学员提出任何问题；当学员们吃完午饭回来上课，一开始就播放视频，而且这部视频是长达一小时的二十年前的黑白片；使用很明显的陈旧过时的设备；将房间温度调高10度，并且不在房间里准备饮用水；说一些单调乏味的话；避免眼神交流。以上这些行为会使学员产生消极被动的情绪，并且陷入其中不能自拔。
在我们的培训中，我们要注重激发学员积极性。我们可以让每个小组选一个代表到前面来领取他们需要的材料和物品，而不是让学员坐在那里，等着讲师在台下奔走分发物品，从而让学员觉得他们就应该坐在那里享受讲师的服务。永远不要为学员去做那些他们自己能做的事。
3.假设学员会应用所教的内容
在这种假设下，讲师不再麻烦地举一些例子，认为学员们都是成年人，不用为他们画图，只要直接给他们内容就行了。当然，如果讲师不用麻烦地解释说明的话，就可以在尽可能短的时间里讲得更多。毕竟，讲师的责任就是讲解，而运用所讲的内容是学员们作为成年人自己应承担的责任。然而，在这个时候，这样的讲师忘记了一个重要的事实，即：图片和案例比其他内容更容易记忆，事实上，这才是打开学员记忆大门最有力的钥匙。
需要注意的是，从另一方面讲，也不要替学员把所有的应用都做好。很多次我都发现，让学员们学会的更有效的方法是，在讲完内容之后暂停一下，先不急着讲应用。然后我会让他们在自己的小组内讨论这些实际应用。当然，记住要给他们足够的时间处理和运用这些内容。根据经验，我们知道他们不会晚上回家来做这些，所以我们在课堂上就要给他们时间。
4.太快对学员做出批评
这样的讲师可能信奉的是这句管理名言：批评应该在公开场合做出，如果是表扬，应该私下进行。
在这种行为模式下，如果有人问了一个愚蠢的问题，讲师会马上说“这个问题很愚蠢”。如果有个人错过了部分内容，讲师会看似机智地马上指出来：“你看，你提的这个问题我刚讲过还不到三分钟。可能其他学员要比你更加清醒一点（不会提出这样的问题）。”
一种避免批评人的办法就是不要把知识性的问题拿出来放在桌面上讨论。我多数情况下是让我的小组去讨论实际应用问题，当有人愿意去分享如何把培训内容运用到实际工作时，批评的潜在可能就已经降到最低了。因为这方面很少有完全正确的或错误的答案。
