Author Description

徐滇庆，1967年毕业于东北大学自动控制系，1981年获得华中理工大学（现名华中科技大学）经济管理硕士学位。1984年进入美国匹兹堡大学经济系，1990年获得博士学位。从1990 年到1994 年任教于加拿大萨斯喀彻温大学经济系，自1994年至今任教于加拿大西安大略大学休伦学院经济系，历任助理教授、副教授、正教授和终身教授。在1994 年到1995年期间担任中国留美经济学会会长。2000年任长城金融研究所所长。2003年获孙冶方经济学奖。2012年获张培刚发展经济学奖。著有《一个经济学家眼中的世界》《房价与泡沫经济》《终结贫穷之路》《经济命脉系三农》《万里山川万卷书》《看懂中国贫富差距》《中国不怕》《从贸易顺差到汇率之争》《房地产供求与保障》《问粮：详解18 亿亩土地红线》等书。由工程到经济，转了一个大弯，不觉突兀，兴趣盈然。教书，研究，足迹遍及海内外。探讨经济之余再琢磨点人文历史，捎带着写点游记，权当好玩。

Introduction

自序

山不转，水转；水不转，风转；风不转，心转。
只要走得动，就出门转转。等到走不动的那天，就只能心转神游了。
近年来，如果我对一个经济学研究课题偶有心得，就舍不得丢掉。于是，一会儿研究农业发展和粮食储运，一会儿研究中国和印度发展战略比较，一会儿研究如何防范金融危机，一会儿研究民营银行制度建设，一会儿研究房地产和泡沫经济，一会儿研究中国和美国的贸易之争和汇率调整，等等。涉猎甚广，每年都要写不少论文，出一两本书。有人问，你不累吗？仔细想一想，干自己喜欢的事，好像并不累。十多年前我就被晋升为终身教授，捧上了铁饭碗，从此肩上没有了压力。不当官，不经商，用不着为五斗米折腰。不过，就是再忙也没忘了旅游。调查研究，开会讲课，四处走走，顺便玩了不少地方，有张有弛，自得其乐。如有所感，信笔涂鸦，积攒起来，不觉成书。
我的游记第一卷《徐滇庆游记：一个经济学家眼中的世界》在2006年由机械工业出版社出版。第二卷《万里山川万卷书：经济学家的另一种文化眼光》在2011年由陕西人民出版社出版。最近又写了十多篇，整理起来，权当第三卷。看过前两本游记的人说，经济学教授看山观水，角度与众不同，常有心得怪论。既然还有人愿意看，就交给出版社吧。北京大学出版社的郝小楠编辑建议此书取名《一个经济学家的山河纪行》，欣然采纳。
天下名山僧占多。其实，在名山之中道观也不少。佛教四大菩萨，文殊的道场在五台山，普贤的道场在峨眉山，地藏王的道场在九华山，观音菩萨的道场在普陀山。人称，金五台，银峨眉，铁九华，铜普陀。几年下来，我终于把四大道场都逛了一遍。“五台山纪行”已经编进我的游记第一卷，加上其他三篇，算是功德圆满。
到了普陀山，我琢磨，为什么观音的人缘这么好，而文殊、普贤就少有人知？
到了九华山，我发现地藏王菩萨取得土地产权的过程尚待商榷。
到了武当山，我想，为什么一个和尚要从道教诸神中请出真武大帝来帮朱棣？道教的神仙谱遵循哪类产权结构？
到了采石矶，我感到非常惊讶，一个小小的地方竟有这么多的名人故事。同时也非常感慨，虞允文是抗金民族英雄，至今依然没没无闻。
在永乐宫，我欣赏到举世无双的壁画精品，同时不断思索吕洞宾和八仙究竟是怎么出现的，代表了哪部分社会群体？
在内蒙机场的纪念品柜台上，我看到成吉思汗和王昭君的画像，突然我联想到战争与和平。笑到最后的肯定是王昭君。
在临汾，我几度忍不住要找“华门”的设计者争论一番，可是回过头来，却又坚决地为他的创新精神辩护。
桃花岛，鹳雀楼，荆州，关帝庙，尧都，神农架……都从各个方面反映出中华文明。
“书到用时方恨少。”一动手，就知道自己学识浅薄。对许多历史、地理、哲学、宗教知识一知半解，似是而非。往往写了一小段，就兴致勃勃地看起书来。有的时候，一口气看了几天书才发现一个字都没写。不过，内心觉得很充实，很高兴。
我非常感激北京大学中国经济研究中心、北京师范大学国民核算研究院、清华大学研究生院、东北财经大学等院校的朋友们在这段时间内对我的支持和关照。我衷心感谢加拿大西安大略大学休伦学院经济系（Department of Economics, Huron College, University of Western Ontario)的同事们，如果不是他们分担了教学任务，我怎么可能如此逍遥地走来走去。
我的夫人关克勤和我一起去了许多地方。文中有许多观点出自于她。她对本书的贡献绝对不能简单地用“感谢”二字表达。
有人问，你花这么多时间写游记，为啥？没啥目的，就是好玩。去过一个地方，有点感想，不说出来，难受。其实，我写这些游记并没有花费很多时间。我常告诫自己，别活得太累，当个书呆子划不来。书房外面的世界很精彩，理应忙中偷闲，绝不放过游山玩水的机会。写游记不过是顺手牵羊。文字没有修饰，引用的典故、数据也没时间仔细推敲。好在不是严肃的学术著作。如果有朋友指出文中谬误，本人感谢不尽。
