《阅读心理治疗：挖掘你的快乐之泉（第二版）》：

快乐从哪里来导读快乐是每一个人都曾有过的体验，而且是一个非常感性的、具体的问题。一个人快乐与否，一问便知。可是，快乐从哪里来呢？或者换句话说，快乐与否是由什么东西决定的呢？这个形而上的问题并不是每一个人都可以随口回答出来的。
人与动物相比较而言，动物的快乐也许是由食欲和性欲的满足所带来的：而人的快乐不仅取决于生理的满足，还有成就、爱、归属、尊重、权力等心理和社会欲望的满足。然而，问题在于，现实中不仅每个人的需求是有差别的，而且满足需求的可能性和程度也是千差万别的。因此，与其说快乐来源于欲望的满足，还不如说快乐取决于一个人选择什么东西作为满足的价值观更为合适。打一个通俗的比方，一个饥饿的穷人得到一餐饱饭的快乐与一个书生发表一篇论文的快乐几乎是同等的，但决定他们各自快乐的理由是截然不同的。简而言之，快乐根源于我们每个人心中定义快乐的意向和标准。有什么样的快乐观就有什么样的快乐，即使环境、条件不变，你的感觉亦可能随着观念的变迁而发生格式塔式的转变。在临床咨询中，我见到一些抑郁的中年人，年轻时追求财富和女人就会感到非常快乐，可是当真的实现了这些目标时，他们反而感到了悲哀失望。可见，快乐不见得就是满足了个体的需求。事实上，看待或评价快乐的标准发生了变化，快乐与否也会随之变化。这些人虽然现在有了票子、房子和车子，但同时自己也已经疾病缠身，妻离子散，亲情和真情已经荡然无存了。这时他才意识到，这些曾经拼命追求的财富究竟带来了什么样的快乐呢？孟子曾对齐王说：“独乐乐，与人乐乐，孰乐？不若与人乐。”如果说与人同乐才是真乐，那么，现在虽然有钱，或者升了官，却剩下一颗孤独的心灵又如何快乐得起来呢？在心理疾病中，神经症表现为患者感到自己是最不快乐的人。他们中的一些人或为过去的陈年旧事悔恨、懊恼、内疚，一直陷于抑郁的情绪之中；或者为尚未发生的事件而焦躁不安、恐惧担心；或者为每一个生活细节和想法穷思竭虑，空耗自己的精力，诸如此类。从病因上来看，神经症的病因不在外界的环境中，而源于自己内心世界的某些情结。不是别人不让他快乐，而是他自己让自己不快乐。也许有些不快乐的人说“我身患重病”、“我是残疾人”，或者说“我是孤儿”、“我父母不爱我”，或者说“我没有正式工作”、“我失恋了”等等。在临床咨询中我们可以听到一大堆不快乐的理由。事实上，如果我们稍微留意一下周围的世界，就不难发现，世界上同样还有许多身残志不残的能人，还有很多身患癌症却坚强地活着且热心公益的人，还有很多献身事业的快乐单身，他们顽强生活的感人事迹告诉我们一个道理：，虽然人和动物都有快乐和不快乐，但只有人可以改变自己对快乐的看法和态度，并具有将不快乐转变为快乐的能力。
孔子说：“饭疏食饮水，曲肱而枕之，乐亦在其中矣。”（《论语·述而》）正是这样的一种快乐观，才使得一个穷书生也自信快乐起来。借用慧能“佛心不二”这句话，我们也可以这样说：“乐在心中！”阅读材料同样的快乐与不同的快乐观◎邱鸿钟需要快乐是基本的人性，一切为了快乐是人生的基本追求目标。一切科学都离不开以“人性”的看法作为自己研究的基础，哲学、伦理学是如此，经济学和心理学也是如此。快乐是被广泛研究的最根本的人性之一。从某种意义上说，心理健康教育就是教人获得快乐的态度和方法，以及正确看待与处理没有快乐的时候。
人的快乐体验与其世界观、人生观和价值观有密切的关系，因为快乐其实是意义实现的一种副效应。因此。最早注意研究快乐的是哲学家们。在中国思想史上，人性本善或性本恶之争是众所周知的。主张人性本善的人自然把实现善的行为作为快乐的事情，而认为性本恶的人必定把恶的宣泄认定为快乐的一种方式。人如果感到存在没有意义就会感到痛苦，如果使痛苦获得某种意义（例如复活节），痛苦则变成了获得快乐的准备过程。
儒家的快乐源出对仁义和好学的追求。子曰：“知之者不如好之者，好之者不如乐之者。”“朝闻道，夕死可矣。”“知者乐，仁者寿。”“知者不惑，仁者不忧。”（《论语》）孔夫子自我评价说：“乐而忘忧，不知老之将至云尔。”可见，孔子没有道家那种“由死观生”的忧患意识。仁，也即两人的关系，所以儒家的快乐还源出于人际关系的和谐。子日：“学而时习之，不亦说乎？有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎？”“德不孤，必有邻。”（《论语》）“乐取于人以为善。”（《孟子》）由于儒家重义轻利，所以孔子把“贫而乐”看成比“贫而无谄”、“富而无骄，，要高一层次的精神境界。孔子还特意推举了颜回这个安贫乐道的弟子作为榜样。儒家对物质生活的要求是不高的，“饭疏食，饮水，曲肱而枕之，乐亦在其中矣”。
儒家的快乐来源于“君子坦荡荡”，以天下为公的胸襟。所谓“先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐”。有一则故事说，孟子拜见梁惠王，惠王正站在池塘边欣赏那些鸿雁麋鹿，他问孟子：贤德的人也爱享受这种快乐吗？孟子答：能做到贤德的人然后才能获得这些快乐，而不贤德者虽拥有这些亦不会快乐也。在孟子看来，君主如果不能使人民快乐，又怎么能独享快乐呢？孟子还向齐宣王提出了一个比较的命题：“独乐乐，与人乐乐，孰乐？”“与少乐乐，与众乐乐，孰乐？”最后得出了一个结论是：“王与百姓同乐，则王矣。”（《孟子》第二篇）可见儒家的快乐是奋发图强，实现理想抱负，“乐以天下”的“社会型”的快乐。
