人生哪能皆如意万事只求半称心

有位哲人说过：“人生有苦乐的两面。太苦了，当然要提起内心的快乐；太乐了，也应该明白人生苦的真相。热烘烘的快乐，会乐极生悲；冷冰冰的痛苦，会苦的无味，人生最好过不苦不乐的中道生活。”
还有人说“幸福是太多和太少之间的一站”。换句话说，也即是“半”，多少各半，才有韵味。生活好比一杯奶茶，奶放多了太腻，茶放多了又觉苦涩，奶茶各半，方可感到那香醇可口的滋味。
其实“半”的学问无处不在，它是绘画中的留白，是半山腰的美景，是“花开半时偏妍”的美丽，是留有适度距离的美感……
在杭州灵隐寺中，有一副楹联是这样写的：“人生哪能多如意，万事但求半称心。”这里的“半”字，可以说用得精妙，值得玩味，让人颇生感慨。
在我们的传统文化中，常常以“半”的视角来关照人生百态、风俗世情。比如，我们常常听到和说到的一些话：莫扯满篷风，常留转身地，弓太满则折，月太满则亏……这些都是“半”的生存哲学。
林语堂先生就主张“半半哲学”的人生。从传统文化的层面来看，“半半哲学”是将儒家哲学和道家哲学糅合起来的一种中庸的处世态度。
说到底，“半”是一种生活态度，一种心灵状态，一种人生智慧，一种处世哲学。“半”字哲学，意在暗示：人生没有百分之百的圆满。
人生几十年，酸甜苦辣咸，各种滋味都有，故称“百味人生”。人生追求完美，但总会留下无尽的遗憾。西方有句谚语：“当你选择面对阳光，黑暗永远在你的背后。”所以，生活里有阳光就会有黑暗，不可能事事称心如意。在五光十色、眼花缭乱的花花世界的诱惑面前，特别是在充满激烈竞争、崇尚快餐文化的今天，只有“万事只求半称心”，才能坦然地面对人生，淡泊地看待荣辱得失。
万事只求“半称心”，是不设置太玄的目标，不盲目地去攀比。哲人王雨生说：“刻意追求辉煌的人，一生中有一万个不如意；乐于过平常生活的人，一生中则有一万个满足。”所以，我们最好不生非分之想，不贪非分之财，即使我们得不到希望的东西，也不要让我们的生活充满忧虑和悔恨。
“半”字哲学，虽说是对人生态度的一种倡导，但是它的本质精髓还在于对欲望的合理控制。现今社会，人们之所以在生活、工作中问题多多，很大原因在于没有处理好泛滥的欲望。争强好胜，争名夺利，凡事能做到十分绝不停留在八分，虽说这在某种程度上是一种积极进取的态度，但不是也给我们带来了更多的疲惫、更多的不如意吗？
不可否认，人生若没了欲求，就失去了生命存在的意义，也就失去了希望，但并非我们所有想得到的、想争取的，都一定能如愿以偿；也并不是只要我们展开了理想的翅膀，就一定能够腾飞，并到达期望中的目的地。更何况，还有一些非分之想，还有一些脱离现实之念呢？
“自古人生最忌满，半贫半富半自安；半命半天半机遇，半取半舍半行善；半聋半哑半糊涂，半智半愚半圣贤；半人半我半自在，半醒半醉半神仙；半亲半爱半苦乐，半欲半禅半随缘；人生一半在于我，另外一半听自然。”这首《半字禅》是中国人最高的生存智慧，也是本书的思想精髓所在。
