做好准备，正向迎击黑羊效应
你的人生，从基因、成长背景、受的教育，到你的聪明才智、家庭资源等，没有一样是你能决定的。然而，上述的每一项，都会深深地影响你的人格特质、内在需求与情绪特质的构成。如果你在生命历程中遭受的创伤很多，就没办法拥有足够的自我强度与人格特质，更没办法贯彻自己的意志。同时，在社会生活中，也会遭遇到更多与更严重的适应障碍问题。当你能够想到这些问题时，一切都已经被决定。更糟糕的是，你不得不去承受，因为那就是你自己。
我最常说的一个比喻，就是用冷血杀手与总统进行对比。一个冷血杀手，不值得同情──问题是，如果换作是总统，出生在一个没有爱、没有温暖的家庭，面对残酷的生存竞争，为了活下去，只能靠本性中的邪恶去抢夺，就像一只野兽。那么，总统的表现会比较好吗？如果以自我感觉良好，听不进别人的规劝，永远以自我为中心来思考，不在乎别人的痛苦等特质来说，我想，恐怕总统未必会表现得比冷血杀手要好。所以，无论好坏，都不要把一切表现都归因到自己身上，成就未必是自己努力的结果；相同的，缺点与失败一样不能全部怪到你身上。
这就是我们即将开始探讨的话题，你千万不要用“二分法”来断言黑羊效应当中的任何人。在黑羊效应中不管哪一个角色，都有他们的苦衷、无奈、痛苦与不为人知的一面。你没有义务为谁打抱不平，也没有权利去厌恶任何人。
在即将展开话题的此刻，我希望读者把自己的价值观通通暂时搁下，无好、无坏、无善、无恶、无优、无劣、无爱，也无恨──每个人都只是浑浑噩噩地在这个社会中成长，被各种心理效应摆布，就像吃了迷幻药一样，在不清醒当中做出连自己也不明白的事。
千万不要把黑羊效应理解成坏人欺负好人的现象──恰恰相反，黑羊效应是一群好人欺负一个好人，其他好人在旁边，却视而不见、坐视不管的诡谲现象。
下面让我来通过一个例子来说明这个道理。如果状况是发生在办公室里，一群人为了抢夺少数升迁的机会，因而组成派系，恶意攻击特定对象，那么，这就不是黑羊效应，因为那种攻击行为明显是恶意的，不管是在事前、事中或事后，人们表现出来的思想与行为都不会遵守黑羊效应。然而，实际上到底是恶意斗争还是黑羊效应，从表面上看都是一样的。而在一个团体里面，这两种状况都可能发生。
本章的目的，从拿下伪善的面具，面对真实的内心到悲悯每个丑陋的心灵阴影与停止随意做出善恶的判断，都在为理性地了解黑羊效应与疗愈在回忆中继续淌血的伤痕而做准备。
