Book Abstract

养生八字诀：一动一静，一进一出
谈养生，董延龄认为要全面，“只谈吃，或只靠运动，都不完整。”他从四件事着手，做到八个字——“一动，指运动；一静，指睡眠；一进，指饮食；一出，指排泄”。这四件事做得好，身体自然健康。
睡眠是养生、补气血的根本。
董延龄每天晚上11点一定准时上床，睡7～8小时，早上6～7点起床。睡前心要清净，脑袋不再想一堆事，也不要剧烈活动。他认为，运动早上做最好，但如果抽不出时间，只能在晚上运动，就一定在睡前1小时做完，避免运动加快气血循环，人变得亢奋，反而难入睡。
睡前静坐10分钟，用意念将气往下沉，放空脑袋。经常入睡困难的人，不要一直躺着，不如起床到椅子上静坐10分钟，稍有睡意再回床上。早晨起床，他先喝一杯温开水，洗清肠胃，也稀释血液浓度，再开始运动。
8点以前，太阳不大，他在户外一边运动，一边晒太阳。“人一定要适度接受阳光，吸收阳气，而且户外运动空气比较好”，他说。他运动也是有动有静，合乎中医的阴阳之道，而且“先动后静”。因为动时，促进气血运行，升旺起来，动完之后就要静坐，将
气收敛于身。
他认为，运动方法很多，但一定要配合自己的年龄及身体状况运动。年轻时做较剧烈、强硬的运动可能没问题，但年纪越大，就要转做养气、柔和的运动。从中医养生角度来看，运动要使经络畅通，气血流动，所以一定要“松”，太过紧绷，如过度练肌肉，气血就不通
了，不见得好。所以他的运动大致包含两大重点，一是放松，二是能活动全身关节筋骨，例如转动膝关节、自然左右摆动双臂拍打身体、将两手臂藉身体转动的力量向上甩动等。
除了户外运动之外，他也以按摩刺激经络穴位的理论，自创一套躺在床上就能做，即使懒人都无法借口不运动的“懒人功”，借着摩擦小腿上的经络，促进下肢循环，“人变老，是从脚上开始老。”他说。现代人普遍活动量不足，下肢循环不好，所以摩擦活络腿部的气
血很重要。再加上锻炼背部，尤其脊椎的动作，“所以我不变矮，还能长高啊。”他笑说。
