慢實驗又來了，這次要挑戰「做一件無法立刻完成的事」。

我嘗試從生活用品著手：沐浴乳、洗髮精、洗衣精、洗碗精，這些全是缺乏時會直覺去超市購買的物品，而我打算自己動手做。我先在網路上蒐集資料，再去台北後車站的化工原料店購買材料，最後用科學實驗精神製作生活用品，前後花了兩天才完成。

原本只需花五分鐘去超市購買的行為，我花了兩天，不過，這個實驗對我有何影響？

除了認識各種化學名稱，我在化工原料店發現許多東西可以自己做，防曬乳、化妝品、精油，看著一堆不懂的材料，激發我的好奇心去詢問店家如何製作更多生活用品，對方拿了一本冊子給我並推薦相關書籍，讓我認識另一個世界。

其實生活中有很多東西都可以自己做，但我們被世界培養成它們所期待的樣子，就是不要花時間去想、去做，只要毫不費力走到商店購買。

這個實驗讓我反思，到底生活中有多少東西會直接去買，而不會自己動手做。大到從房子、電視、冷氣、機車、家具，小至眼鏡、筷子、碗盤、食材。因為「購買」實在太方便了，所以讓人直接跳過不方便。

我們省下很多時間，生活卻多了無聊的空虛。

當時成功製作洗衣精，倒入洗衣機的那刻，立即燃起微小的成就感，好比遭遇困難後，靠自己的力量去跨越、克服，然後獲得喜悅。

許多人關心生活中如何獲得快樂？蘇格拉底有答案。

一群年輕人到處尋找快樂，反而遇到更多煩惱、憂愁和痛苦。他們向老師蘇格拉底詢問，快樂到底在哪裡？蘇格拉底說：「你們先幫我造一艘船吧！」

年輕人們暫時把尋找快樂的事兒放到一邊，找來造船的工具，花了兩個月，鋸倒一棵又高又大的樹，挖空樹心，打造一條獨木船。獨木船下水時，年輕人們把老師請上船，一邊合力蕩槳，一邊齊聲歌唱。

蘇格拉底問：「孩子們，你們快樂嗎？」學生齊聲回答：「快樂極了！」

蘇格拉底道：「快樂就是這樣，它往往在你專注一件事情時突然來訪。」

做一件無法立刻完成的事，往往會讓人更想專注完成，完成之後會獲得成就的喜悅。太快完成，反而少了過程。

那天走出化工原料店時突然下起大雨，我看著民眾撐傘奔跑，聞著路面濕氣，聽著雨聲落下，在門口等了十多分鐘，雨仍沒停，後來我穿上雨衣騎機車回家，褲子全濕透。我不確定這個鳥事對人生是否有益，但肯定難忘。

如果沒有慢慢完成一件事，永遠無法創造這段人生過程。

雨天記得微笑

有天看到朋友分享一部影片，爸爸勇豪在聊徒步心情，他和老婆與兩個孩子徒步環島三個月，影片中孩子光著腳丫奔跑，接觸陌生環境與陌生人的笑容，讓人莫名感動。

後來，我想辦法認識勇豪並提出請求：希望能一起徒步一日，對方很爽快地答應。於是我們相約淡水捷運站，從這一路走到台北市，也是他返家的最後一哩路。

然而當天風雨交加，心中有點懊悔，因為我從未帶著孩子在雨天走路，我在捷運上開始擔憂孩子會不會感冒？嬰兒推車會不會濕掉？鞋子濕掉怎麼辦？走不動怎麼辦？各種煩惱從天而降。

僅僅只是徒步一日，就令人百感交集。

心中突然有取消邀約的念頭，我試著詢問三歲孩子的意見：「外面下雨，你還想出去嗎？」，孩子笑著對我說：「要啊，我要出去玩！」(事後回想好像問錯人了。)

抵達淡水，與勇豪碰面，他推著雙人嬰兒車，外加一隻在路上撿到的毛小孩，一家五口看起來就像是剛從遠方回來，歷經長時間風吹雨淋，不怕現場忽大忽小的風雨。

我們一行人穿上雨具開始徒步，一邊前進一邊聊天。

走了十多分鐘，孩子們已經坐不住，即便天空飄著細雨，勇豪還是把孩子從推車上放下來，而我家孩子當然也跟著一起玩。最後大家一起淋雨散步，每走一小段，再幫孩子把身體擦乾。

路途中，孩子們好奇的觀察路邊花草，完全不在乎淋雨，勇豪溫柔地提醒孩子去躲雨，但孩子們仍不為所動的蹲在路邊，勇豪也就靜靜等待，沒有想要強拉走人的意思。換作是我，早就硬把孩子拉去躲雨。

「你不擔心孩子感冒嗎？」我問。

「會，但我不能逼迫孩子。」

等了數十分鐘，我們才繼續前進，勇豪沒有一般父母的威嚴，只有如朋友般的親切對待。

一路上，他們與孩子的互動，讓我意識到自己都是以權威來管教孩子，好笑的是，我從小就討厭權威式管教。

路程走到五分之四，勇豪的小孩因為在車上沒睡好而發脾氣，媽媽在路邊安撫著，讓孩子把情緒發洩完，我們就這樣等了半小時。

「你們不擔心路人異樣的眼光嗎？」我問。

「會啊，但還是要讓孩子把情緒發洩完，打斷他的情緒無法解決問題。」最後我們走到唭哩岸捷運站，共走了十公里，五個小時，一路上幾乎沒有碰到任何人。與勇豪道別後，我們搭上捷運各自回家。

返程路上，身體疲倦、雙腳痠痛，這種痛會在人生記憶裡留下印記。

這天是我當爸爸後，第一次在雨天的台北推著嬰兒車「漫步」，第一次看到別的父母溫柔地對待孩子，第一次接觸「親子共學」的父母。

當晚才想起來，已經很久沒淋雨，忘了雨天要微笑。
