刻出自己人生
木雕，簡單來說就是針對木頭的生長結構，進行拆解造型的動作。這在實際接觸過，才能慢慢有所領悟。

記得年紀還小時對木雕造型藝術很感興趣，只是一直苦無相關的學習資訊管道，也就這放著。年輕的我，無法確定自己未來的發展方向，什麼都想要嘗試，記得當時電子業很夯，也就聽從家人的建議選擇了相關科系，不過畢業後並沒有從事相關行業，到處端盤子打零工渾渾噩噩度日。後來受朋友影響，決定隻身到台北打工習畫闖闖，兩年過去，覺得自己好像有那麼一點天分，回家成立畫室，幻想自己可以成為畫家，才發現⋯⋯畫什麼比怎麽畫還重要，這結果可想而知。父親一起在工地做了五年之久的模板工人，參加職訓學習裝潢木工，結訓後與朋友合夥做拼裝家具，短短一年我就決定拆夥開始自己的創業路程，前兩年總收入不到二十萬，那時候經營得很辛苦，必須仰賴借貸才能苟活。

木工要靠一雙手生產足以維持生計的產品，除非有足夠的資金添購設備與材料，並有相關的通路資源，才可能有辦法與大型工廠競爭，意識到這點，增加了黏土公仔製作的產品項目。這部分純粹是興趣，在等待職訓偶然的情況下，發現了黏土塑型的魅力，既然有自己的工作室何不做些自己喜歡的東西呢？那時候對黏土造型特性完全不瞭解，透過大量的練習製作拼命生產，得一天工作十五個小時瘋狂捏土，一個月生產近兩百隻的小公仔，做到抽蓄脫水痙攣，有賣掉的話，或許一小時就能有九十塊的收入。剛開始總覺得有收入總比什麼都沒有好，完全不計成本，但是你我都知道這無法維持長久。

在很偶然的情況下，遇見了峇里島生產製作的小動物，發現這種木頭似曾相識，於是央求材料行提供少量訂製，開始了我研究木雕的刻刻人生。
