WTO的官方语言是英语、法语和西班牙语。WTO协定文本（正是这些文本确立了WTO规则）也是用这些语言写就的。这本《WTO规则中英文教程》以WTO协定英文本为基础，分15章对WTO主要规则作了介绍。为满足各专业学习WTO知识的需要，本教程在编写体例上有一个特点，即对涉及到的WTO具体规则用中英文形式介绍（英文部争主要源自文本原文及WTO官方网站）。
