A Close Look Into The World Of Asian Juices

As people become more health-conscious, the demand for soda has waned in favor of natural fruit juices. The idea behind the new demand is simple. While both may be sugary, drinking fruit juice offers a more natural ingredient list. At times, it also may reduce the risk of adverse reactions from synthetic flavors or carbonation.

Believe it or not, Asia has a booming fruit juice market, too—and it often features flavors and fruits you wouldn’t see stateside. If you want to try out some of the sweet treats that this sector of Asia offers, check out our recommendations below…

Top-selling Juices

Nectar Strawberry Peach Mix Juice

This is a juice that really takes the term “nectar” to heart. It is thick and creamy, to the point that you can definitely experience a texture that’s almost pureed. The flavor has a strong peach taste with the sweetness of strawberry—but none of the tartness.

Most people would find this to be a good juice to mix with seltzer or champagne. If you love drinking bellinis, then this juice would add an amazing twist to a typical peach puree mixer.

Nectar Shine Muscat

Unlike the Peach Mix juice, this is a juice-soda hybrid that features real Muscat grape juice in carbonated water. If you want something that is exceptionally refreshing, then their Muscat soda is a good choice. This drink is extra fizzy.

Muscat grapes are not like the grapes you would get in American grape juice. They taste almost like champagne, but without the alcohol. It’s tart, crisp, and surprisingly dry—with just the subtlest hint of sweetness.

Nachan Grape Juice

Do you love the taste of grape candy, or grape-flavored Kool-Aid? Suntory is unique when it comes to its Nachan Grape Juice flavor. While its primary flavor key is the same rich yet dry Muscat grape that the grape soda above uses, there are definitely tasteable undertones of grape candy.

While it has a strong grape flavor, it’s not a “Welch’s” grape flavor. It has a less sweet, more zingy taste.

Melon Flavored Drink With Nata De COCO

Out of all the fruit juices (sparkling and otherwise) we tried, Mogu Mogu’s Melon had to be one of the sweetest. It also happens to be one of the most flavor-packed fruit juices we’ve ever seen, and it features chunks of chopped coconut as an added texture.

Drinking this is a lot like taking a sip of perfectly ripe honeydew melon, with slight hints of cantaloupe. It’s a dessert in a bottle, and will give you the pop of fruity bliss you never knew you needed.
