Non-Alcoholic? No Problem!

Don't get me wrong, I love getting a little tipsy after a long week or shift just as much as the next guy. But you know, sometimes health gets in the way and I got a body to look after! Drinking booze without the buzz but still looking for a good time? Yeah, these drinks got you covered.

Top-selling Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Asahi’s Soft Drink Apple Style

I am so intrigued by this soft drink, mostly because I am a huge fan of apple cider and this beverage is very much that. Asahi is a popular brand in Japan commonly known for producing high quality beer, so this non-alcoholic alternative is a nice choice to get a nice taste of a sparkly and sweet buzz, without feeling the actual buzz. If you are a fan of apple juice, then there is no doubt you'll enjoy this one.

Kirin’s Non-Alcoholic Zero Hi Lemon Soft Drink

So in Japan, Chuhai is a carbonated and canned alcoholic drink that is commonly sold in convenience stores or vending machines. And yes there is no alcohol in this version, but you can still expect a tangy and vibrant lemon flavor that you would normally find in the original Chuhai. I would describe the taste as zesty and mildly bitter, but versatile enough to enjoy at any time of the day.

Suntory’s Non-Alcoholic Soft Drink Orange Flavor

Suntory is one of the oldest companies in Japan to distribute alcoholic beverages, so there is no surprise that they would also tap into the non-alcoholic beverage market. With this one, I was getting more of a cocktail rather than a beer, as the orange fruit juice tasted as if it was combined with various citruses to result in a sweet and sour finish.

Suntory’s Non-Alcoholic Grapefruit Flavor

Same drink from Suntory but different flavor, a non-alcoholic cocktail experience but flavored with grapefruit instead. The orange was sweet and sour, but I decided to try this one on ice. I was definitely shocked, I did not expect to get a much more liquor tasting flavor. A bit sour, but I'd say this beverage is perfect for those seeking to drink "alcohol" without feeling the effects of it. Which makes me think: I wonder if I can stay sober for a weekend and just drink this can, would I still have a great time?

Asahi’s Non-Alcoholic Beer

This can of non-alcoholic beer is magical and out of this world. If I were handed this drink at a party without knowing that it didn't contain any alcohol, I would definitely feel like I have been set-up. And that is because I would have drunk so many and I would ask myself, "Why aren't I getting drunk? Where's the buzz?" That's how spot on this drink is, it tastes exactly the same as Asahi beer. Very bitter and refreshing on ice, I am truly amazed by this.
