一、建立新型医患关系
医患关系是医务人员与病人在医疗过程中产生的特定医治关系，是医疗人际关系中的关键。著名医史学家西格里斯曾经说过：“每一个医学行动始终涉及两类当事人：医师和病人，或者更广泛地说，医学团体和社会，医学无非是这两群人之间多方面的关系”。这段话精辟地阐明了整个医学最本质的东西是医师与病人的关系。现代医学的高度发展更加扩充了这一概念，“医”已由单纯医学团体扩展为参与医疗活动的医院全体员工；“患”也由单纯求医者扩展为与之相关的每一种社会关系。只有这样，我们才会怀着热心、耐心、细心、真心、诚心为患者提供治疗，患者才会感觉到我们的情意。
社会主义的医患关系，是服务与被服务的关系。医务人员应体现防病治病、救死扶伤的宗旨，做到病人至上，生命第一。医务人员应树立正确的医学观，既要考虑生物性致病因素，又要重视心理社会的因素，做到优质服务。在现代医疗仪器广泛应用的形势下，应注意医患关系被物化的倾向，强调医务人员的责任感。社会主义医患关系是有可靠的法律作保障的，在处理涉及触犯刑律的医疗纠纷时，就要按法律程序处理，既保护病人的就医权益，也同样保护医务人员的从业权利。
医患关系在医疗活动中由技术性关系和非技术性关系两大部分组成。非技术性关系是指求医过程中医务人员与病人的社会、心理等方面的关系，在医疗过程中对医疗效果有着无形的作用。技术性医患关系有三种基本模式：
（1）主动被动型：医师完全主动，病人完全被动；医师的权威性不受任何怀疑，病人不会提出任何异议。
（2）引导合作型：医师和病人都具有主动性。医师的意见受到尊重，但病人可有疑问和寻求解释。
（3）共同参与型：医师与病人的主动性等同，共同参与医疗的决定与实施。医师此时的意见常常涉及病人的生活习惯、方式及人际关系调整，病人的配合和自行完成治疗显得尤为重要。
技术性医患关系在医疗过程中以病人的诊治利益为准则，对医疗效果起着重要的作用。
建立新型医患关系，也要求病人养成良好的就医道德，尊重医务人员的职业、劳动及人格，不允许对医务人员刁难、指责、无理取闹。
